Your eyes are first to show tiredness and toxicity and smoky atmospheres
just cloud their sparkle. But beauty guru Bharti Vyas has this solution:
Simply apply cold milk to your eyelids with cotton wool each morning
like a toner.

Rough Feet? |
 |
Soak them in pineapple juice for 10 mins- it contains enzymes, which
help soften and exfoliate the skin naturally, with minimum effort.
For extra exfoliating power, mix some of the juice with a handful
of oatmeal and give the feet a good rub!

Dont throw away your used green tea bags. Stash them in a plastic
bag in the fridge to use as cleansing pads. The paper helps exfoliate
your skin and the teas anti-inflammatory properties evens out blotchy
complexions.

& tips from your side of the counter........
If your bathroom routine is usually
a quick wash and brush-up, youre missing out. Turn your bathroom
into a spa-room and youll soon find time to relax, pamper yourself
and soak your stresses away.
There's something about a bathroom in a posh hotel that makes
taking a bath a luxurious experience. Clean, fluffy towels, thick
towelling robes, massaging power showers- the lot. But there's
no reason why you shouldnt make your bathroom more than a functional
place for washing. A place where you can relax and enjoy the whole
bathing experience. Studies confirm that bathing is good for you.
As well as the easing effect on your muscles there's a warm,
womb-like feeling that soothes the mind according to physiotherapist
Jane Dorey, creator of in-the-tub workouts (find out more at Bathrobics.co.uk.)
Bathing is also good for circulation and metabolism and helping
to rid the body of excess waste products. Warm water relaxes muscle
tension and slows reactions.
Your bathroom can be a sanctuary, often the only room in the
house we have to ourselves, and can be used as a place to relax
and increase your wellbeing, so its well worth taking the time
to create a room that youll want to linger in. This neednt mean
a complete re-fit. Re-decorate with calming colours and if its
not possible to replace all your towels then invest in a couple
of special luxurious ones and keep them to yourself! Choose
bath products not only on functionality, go for ones in beautiful
jars and sensuous colours or decant your favourite product into
a particularly nice glass jar for the same effect.
Lie back, lock the door and enjoy.
Pine has the power to prevent circulation
problems such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), Professor Putter of
Munster University claims that Pycnogenol, a substance extracted
from the bark of the French maritime pine tree, is equally as effective
as aspirin at preventing DVT. So before you fly off for a Spring
Break try taking Pycnogenol twice daily for three to four weeks
before you fly.
